An act of Christian worship takes place each day. The times are usually as follows:

•    On Mondays the whole school meets at 9.10 am. This is led by the Head teacher normally
•    On Tuesdays, Collective Worship takes place in class.
•    On Wednesdays Collective Worship takes place in class.
•    On Thursdays we have whole school singing practice at 2.45pm.

•    On Fridays we have a Class Assembly at 9.10am. Parents / family are welcome to join us. We also celebrate the children’s achievements in the Star of the Week assembly at 2.45pm.

Children are encouraged to become actively involved by reading from the Gospel or leading prayers.

Parents and Carers are always welcome to join us in assemblies, services, liturgies and Mass.

Our Parish Priest, Father Paul Rea leads celebrates Mass in school at least twice a term.

We say grace at lunchtimes and each class says a prayer at the end of the day.

The School and the Parish

St John’s Catholic Primary School maintains strong links with our parish church, St James’. Due to the distance from the church, Father Paul comes to us for mass and services. Parishioners are always invited to join us.
