Home Learning Autumn 19

Home Learning for the Autumn Term will be weekly spellings and times tables.

There are several great online activities children can use to practise their tables: - choose the tables you would like to practise - lots of fun games to help practise tables

Every week the children will also have a piece of written homework, either maths or English, linked to our learning from the week.

Spellings - Please ensure your child is spending time each week learning their in class spellings and rules as well as taking the time to learn from personal spelling lists taken from the words sent home which should be learnt by the end of Y4.

Maths - Please ensure your child is spending time each week learning their times tables. In addition, please can you encourage your child to complete any Mymaths activities that have been set.

Reading - Please make time to read with your child on a daily basis! This is an important life skill and the more reading your child does, the better they are set up for life! Please record their reading in their Reading Record Diary and also encourage your child to join the Reading Club (Monday lunch times) to enhance their reading skills.

Please note: On occasion, your child may be requested to do further home learning as an extension to the learning they have been doing in class. This may link to literacy, maths, topic, science or sometimes another foundation subject. Please encourage your child to undertake their home learning.
