In response to the Coronavirus spread and talk of school closures in the press, we have attached some information given to the school by the Department for Education (DfE) and our trust (CAST).
Mrs James has spoken to the children in assemblies and class this week to remind them about cleanliness and the importance of washing their hands properly.
We do have anti bacterial hand cleanse in each class and 'wash your hands' posters in all of the toilets.
In support of wellbeing and to reduce the risk of the spread of any infection, we have emailed home a DfE poster for information and to inform discussion at home with children.
The DfE have also introduced a new dedicated helpline for staff, parents and children:
Phone: 0800 046 8687
Opening hours: 8am to 6pm (Monday to Friday)
DfE say that no school should close in response to a suspected (or confirmed) COVID-19 case unless advised to do so by Public Health England.
